Calls for a boycott on the

boycott-movement-to-old-style-anti-Semitism.html

Benjamin Netanyahu has invoked Europe’s
Fascist past to attack the growing calls for a boycott of Israel, comparing it
to embargoes imposed on Jewish businesses by the Nazis and other anti-Semitic
groups.

“The most disgraceful thing is to have people
on the soil of Europe talking about the boycott of Jews. I think that’s an
outrage,” the Israeli prime minister told a conference of US Jewish
organisations in Jerusalem.

“In the past, anti-Semites boycotted Jewish
businesses, and today they call for the boycott of the Jewish state and, by the
way, only the Jewish state.”

Mr Netanyahu’s fiercest broadside yet against
the boycott movement followed several meetings among senior government figures
over how to tackle what Israel sees as a looming threat of economic isolation.

Mr Netanyahu singled out the Boycott,
Divestment, Sanctions movement, a group run by pro-Palestinian intellectuals
that calls for a boycott of Israeli goods due to Israel’s illegal occupation of
Palestinian land. He called the group’s members “classical anti-Semites in
modern garb” whose true goal was the destruction of the Israeli state.

However, his comments may also have been a
veiled reference to John Kerry, the US secretary of state, who provoked a
furious reaction from some Israeli ministers by warning in Munich this month of
a possible boycott and deligitimisation campaign in the absence of a peace
agreement with the Palestinians.

They also coincided with a growing trend
among European companies - taking their cue from official EU guidelines adopted
last year - to avoid dealing with Israeli firms that operate in Jewish
settlements in the West Bank.

Israeli media reported on Tuesday that
Deutsche Bank, Germany's biggest bank, had put Bank Hapaolim, the largest bank
in Israel, at the top of a list of 16 companies that would be avoided on
"ethical" grounds under a new investment track on offer. Deutsche
Bank insisted it was not boycotting Bank Hapoalim and that it had many funds which
do invest in the bank.

But the decision drew an angry response from
Ofir Akunis, a parliamentarian in Mr Netanyahu’s Likud party “Is it conceivable that a German bank should
boycott Jews, as if nothing ever happened?” he told a meeting of the

Knesset, Israel’s parliament.

The controversy echoed a row last week when
members of the far-Right Jewish Home party, one of Mr Netanyahu’s main
coalition partners, stormed out the Knesset in protest at a speech by Martin
Schulz, president of the European parliament.

Mr Schulz, who is German, told
parliamentarians in his native tongue that he had heard during a visit to the
West Bank that Israelis consumed an average of 70 litres of water per day,
compared to 17 litres for Palestinians. The comment drew a rebuke from Mr
Netanyahu, who accused Mr Schulz of “selective listening”. Water experts later
said that although Mr Schulz’s figures were inaccurate, the relative
consumption ratios were roughly correct.

Naftali Bennett, the economics minister and
Jewish Home leader, expressed outrage on Facebook that Mr Schulz had spoken in
German. “I will not accept an untrue sermon on morality directed at Israel in
Israel’s parliament.

"Definitely not in German,” he wrote.

COMMENT:

Time has come for the Israel’s
ZIONIST that the slogans of Holocaust and Anti Semitic lost its value when
Israel Government  openly Committed
Genocide to the horror of the World Community of Nations who all witnessed the
brutal killing of absolutely innocent infants, children, males and females
without any mercy.  In fact, it reminded
them of Holocaust days of the committal of genocide of the JEWS by the NAZIS.  Was it not exactly similar role of Nazis gesture
posture and execution of the Jews?

Mr. Netanyahu your personal
audacity and obstinacy has brought your country to the dead of tolerance limit of
the World Community Of Nations.  Furthermore,
you’re and your terrorists Minister’s activities and behavior  has  been
under observation for a long time thinking all of would become civilized but
none of you did but crossed the edge of the wall. Now, you need to understand
to live in a civilized society and leave all caricature and business with Holocaust
and Anti Semitics slogans. There are so many JEWISH living in this world they
do not use it but they all suffer because of particularly you, your Tantacal AIPAC’s
nasty activities since its inception.

World Community of Nations is not blind; therefore,
you have nothing to feel easy about EU’s decision. Please stop fumbling and ask
your Ministers to shut up from uttering of future consequences of their liking
and disliking because EU’s decision is final. Mr. Netanyahu you and your Ministers
created the situation and now it is you and your Ministers that would have to
redress the situation.
