Without going into details, would it not be enough to say that though Political or Military leader and Generals are supposed to learn much from the mistakes of the past. But alas! Do they learn anything ever from the past mistakes? Take for example the subject matter of Israel's Apartheid case and compare it with South Africa's ultimate result.
In this world of uncertainty who is there to promise what would happen tomorrow that political leaders to day are engaged in painting beautiful picture under Apartheid rule. Would it not be a very mean hypocrisy with the people like the pied piper who blew his pipe to take the rats to death.
It would be enough for the Israel's Jewish community to analyze the facts and figures of the future before committing. The say is "Think before you do not after."
