United States as a global power: new world disorder | Editorial | Comment is free | The Guardian

Having gone through the Editorial Article I am impressed to find that it has the mention of salient points briefly pointing out the causes of failure of US to set the global order in right direction after the cold war , yet left scope to differ and contribute individual opinions to the article.

Taking the advantage to contribute, I would like to mention that may be in some case I may also differ to agree to the main theme of the article while at the same time contribute to the causes of the failure not specifically pointed out in the article.

I quote the heading of the article "United States as a global power: new world disorder"

"The US is struggling with a paradox: while its military power retains global reach, its role as world leader is gradually ending"

I fully contribute to the above mentioned statement and like to add that had US not been the subject of a foreign country's immense pressure controlling the US congress and AIPAC and Tony Blair's undaunted support, I strongly feel that G W Bush would not have jumped into the fire with a highly dangerous controversial agenda declaring "A crusade against Islam".

I would say that by that declaration at the advice of that foreign country he divided the Muslin world in already a politically divided world. It was however, sanity prevailed on all religious people of different religions of the world that things did not escalate as would be seen was the desire of that Foreign country searching for an opportunity to fish in troubled water. It has to be seen that the saner Muslims also played a positive role to control the situation.

Now, cutting a long story short, what do we ultimately find is the catastrophic condition of US in financial and economical sector. The citizen of such a robust financial and economical giant was in no time brought down to its knee that until today the population is reeling under the pangs of Immense sufferings and untold miseries.

One stupid action on the advice of a highly racial third party and supported by a highly Parochial political Leader doomed the future of the Global Lone Super power and "New World Disorder"started with the relegation of the giant Financial and Economical power to the second place.

And now the covert polarization is already in action amidst that very foreign country demanding to strike now on Iran even though the intelligence chief of the country made a statement to the effect that, quote; "Mossad chief: Nuclear Iran not necessarily existential threat to Israel"

"Tamir Pardo says Israel using various means to foil Iran's nuclear program, but if Iran actually obtained nuclear weapons, it would not mean destruction of Israel" published in Haaretz a Daily News Paper of Israel on i2/29/20011

I am sure the reasons why the US is struggling with a paradox while its military power retains global reach, its role as world leader is gradually ending is very much because of the facts mentioned and no elucidation is need to come to the conclusion.
